Perhaps this is most apparent in the gaming world where games have progressed from compatibility with 8-bit, 16-bit, 32-bit, and now 64-bit operating systems, with enhanced resolution capacity and ever faster graphic drivers, 3D processing and interactivity. With these new computing capabilities games are faster, more immersive, interactive, and arguably more exciting.
Sadly, retro games have fallen by the wayside, and gamers wishing to play older games on their state-of-the-art gaming console are in for a disappointment. Legacy games are incompatible with modern operating systems, software and hardware. Some emulations and ISOs of old games are available but generally give poor performance, are difficult to use, or simply don't work.
Some websites offer supposedly updated compatible games but these often don’t work at all, and if they do work, don't offer the same gaming experience as the original version. In addition, the selection of updated games is limited in scope and far from comprehensive.
